Bob believes there is no more important gift we can give to our children than a strong education system and that means retaining highly qualified teachers, keeping class sizes small, and investing in sustainable infrastructure improvements.

However, we need to change the way education is funded in Illinois -- our property taxes in District 58 are too high because of the outdated school funding formula in Illinois. Increased revenue from a progressive income tax structure in Illinois will greatly benefit our school districts as well as those throughout the state.

Bob has been endorsed by the Lake County Federation of Teachers.
