Issue Position

How many bricks does it take to educate a child? I have asked that question many times as I travel the state and see the difference between school campuses. Some have large, sprawling buildings, while others are simple and barely adequate. I am a proponent of local control of our youth's education, and would support continued empowerment of local school boards. It is important that each district have available discretionary funds to fill the needs of education, whether it be hiring a teacher or repairing a roof.
