Location: Little Rock, Arkansas

Democratic Candidate Clarke Tucker released a new campaign ad today in the race for Arkansas's 2nd Congressional District. In the ad, Tucker's 97-year-old grandmother, "Nana," is seen chatting up everyone she comes in contact with about her grandson's candidacy as she goes about her day. "Clarke's my grandson, vote for him!" she says pointing to her "Clarke Tucker" campaign necklace in line at the grocery store.
Nana also speaks to Tucker's commitment to protecting Medicare and Social Security as well as protecting folks with pre-existing conditions. "Clarke will make sure you have health care, even if you've been sick before," she says from a dentist's chair.
A young cancer survivor, Tucker has vowed to protect healthcare coverage for people with pre-existing conditions. Tucker has harshly criticized his opponent, Congressman French Hill, for his vote for the American Health Care Act, which would have removed vital protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
"Nana is an amazing woman, she's been such an inspiration to me my whole life, and I am so happy she is a part of our campaign," Tucker said. "She's talking about the issues that I care about and that Arkansas families care about. From our seniors and their hard-earned Social Security and Medicare to Arkansas families and our healthcare coverage, this race is about people's lives and livelihoods. Congressman Hill's votes against our seniors and hardworking families are just wrong, and that is why we need a new member of Congress who will stand up for us here in Arkansas."
