Jacky Rosen Addresses Nevada State AFL-CIO Convention in Reno, Slams Heller's Record Hurting Hardworking Families

Today, Nevada Congresswoman and candidate for U.S. Senate Jacky Rosen addressed hundreds of union leaders and members at the Nevada State AFL-CIO's Convention in Reno. The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations is America's largest federation of unions.
"Strong unions are the backbone of a strong middle class with good-paying jobs, and I'm proud to stand with the labor movement in Nevada to fight for policies that put people over profits," Rosen said. "I'm fighting to raise the minimum wage, for equal pay for equal work, and for paid family and medical leave. From his unequivocal support for President Trump's Supreme Court nominee to his opposition to the Paycheck Fairness Act and his support for abolishing the federal minimum wage, Senator Heller isn't standing with Nevada's workers."
While Jacky Rosen has been a supporter of working men and women, Sen. Heller has voted multiple times in Washington against raising the federal minimum wage (which hasn't been increased in nearly a decade) and said earlier this month that he even supports abolishing the federal minimum wage.
