Issue Position

Lower taxes and smaller government are essential ingredients for a thriving, vibrant culture and economy.

When freed from excessive regulation and inappropriate taxation (especially when there's already a budget surplus in Nashville), Tennesseans become more empowered to use their talents in pursuit of their dreams. This greatly benefits the families they love, the businesses they build, and the communities they serve.

Like our forefathers, I believe that Americans are intelligent, resourceful, and capable people who don't need the "help" of an overreaching, oversized government in order to succeed. More often than not, Big Government causes far more problems than it claims to solve, and many of the problems it tackles are the result of its meddling in the first place.

The people of District 70 don't need more taxes and bigger government flowing from Nashville. We need less.
