State government has a responsibility to be accountable and transparent with our taxpayer dollars, that is why I sponsored the Open Meetings Act (HB0676) to require more government meetings to be streamed over the internet. We also need to make sure state contracts make greater use of Tennessee employers and workers and give them the first crack at public projects. We should require tough audits of government programs to make sure they are delivering results.
