Every elected official wants to be remembered as a champion for education. It's a nice notion, but one of stolen credit. The real champions of education are found in the classroom. I believe the more Washington D.C. and Nashville stay out of the local education system, the better off our children, parents and faculty are. Every classroom should be fully funded across our state, and teachers should be well-compensated for the incredible labor of love they devote to our children on a daily basis.
