Health care is not a privilege. Health care is a right.

Mississippians should have access to affordable health care to ensure the progression and prosperity of every citizen.

A person's health is interconnected with nearly all other facets of their life. This is why health care is a pertinent piece of my public servant work.

We must work together to persevere the promises of Medicaid and Medicare to ensure healthy lives of our most valuable and vulnerable Mississippian populations. Our most cherished residents must be protected, both the elderly and the young, from funding cuts that would hinder their ability to seek high-quality health care.

Specifically, mental health care is a topic that needs to be at the forefront of health care conversations. I can no longer allow mental health care funding to be slashed while Mississippians struggle to find help for themselves or loved ones.

Access to affordable health care is paramount to the successful futures of every Mississippian. Mississippians with pre-existing conditions should not be discriminated against and denied affordable care.

I will fight to ensure that Mississippians have access to health care options that will not cripple their pockets.

I will support comprehensive sexual health education to educate young people with medically accurate, evidence based curriculums that will aid in the elimination of negative health outcomes.

I will utilize bipartisan tactics to reach across the aisle for optimal health care legislation.

It is a of the utmost importance for Mississippians to have accessible, affordable, high quality health care - health care that shouldn't be financial death sentence for those who cannot afford astronomical coverage costs and co-pays.

It is time for bi-partisan efforts to be made to secure the well-being of every citizen of the Magnolia State.
