Issue Position

Jeramey understands the value of hardworking Mississippians, understands the value and contributions small businesses make to our local economy.

Jeramey has traveled internationally to countries like Canada and Switzerland exploring the international business relations between the State of Mississippi, the United States and other nations. Jeramey will use these experiences to help him craft smart, effective economic policy that empowers our community's businesses to compete globally, create good-paying jobs with benefits, and build Mississippi into an economic powerhouse.

Jeramey believes that progressive and responsible economic policy should be the priority for maximizing opportunities for small businesses, investors and consumers.

As the Chairman of the Mississippi Future Caucus, Jeramey understands that in order for Mississippi to grow we must retain young talent in our state. Jeramey will ensure that opportunities for small, medium and large-scale companies are vibrant, college is accessible, affordable, and folks are able to retire comfortably.

In Congress, Jeramey will fight to ensure insurance premiums don't force businesses to fold or layoff hardworking Mississippians.

Jeramey has continued to fight for minimum wage while in the Mississippi Legislature by co-authoring and authoring legislation to establish such law. He has also stood strong against gender pay inequality, fighting to ensure folks receive equal pay for equal work regardless of their race, faith, gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity.
