The PROSPER Act: Making Sure Our Workforce Is Ready and Able

Statement

Date: Dec. 1, 2017
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Todd Rokita, Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, voiced optimism upon the introduction of the PROSPER Act-- the Promoting Real Opportunity, Success, and Prosperity through Education Reform Act.

"The PROSPER Act is about reforming higher education to help past, present and future Hoosiers by making sure Hoosiers are ready and able to fill or create jobs throughout our district, state, and country. These reforms are critical because student debt and tuition prices continue to rise and are at historic levels. The American people have lost faith in our colleges' and universities' abilities to properly prepare our students for the real world," said Rokita.
