Rep. Keith Ellison Statement on Chemical Weapons Attacks in Syria

Rep. Keith Ellison released the following statement on the the Assad regime using chemical weapons in Syria:

"The Assad regime's chemical weapons attack on Khan Sheikhoun, Syria was absolutely horrific. They must be held accountable, and the international community needs to come to together to prevent another chemical weapons attack from being perpetrated on innocent people in Syria.

"Diplomacy should be at the forefront of our approach to end this conflict. And when military options are called for, they must be carried out with a comprehensive, coherent strategy designed to end the slaughter of families in Syria. I urge President Trump to come to Congress with a clear strategy for ending the conflict in Syria. This is a debate that our military, our country, and the millions of people in harms way deserve."
