U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) today concluded a Congressional delegation trip to learn about law enforcement's multi-layered approach to securing the U.S.-Mexico border, improving public safety, and ensuring the flow of legitimate trade and travel through ports of entry in border communities. More information and photos from the trip are below.

"As Congress and the Administration consider the best approach to finally secure our southern border and enforce the law, understanding the complex nature of this region is critical. Millions of jobs and billions of dollars are tied to our economic relationship with Mexico, and it's important for my colleagues to see firsthand how what happens here impacts the rest of the country," Sen. Cornyn said.

"I'm thankful for the input of law enforcement and local community and business leaders throughout this trip, and I appreciate my colleagues taking the time to let me show them this unique region of the country."
