Iowa Congressman David Young released the following statement after voting in support of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017, legislation to support our nation's military, which passed the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 375-34.

"This year's NDAA ensures our military has the tools, training, and support they need to keep our country and her people safe, while giving our military members the pay raise they deserve. I'm pleased to support this important legislation as we continue our efforts to ensure our military meets the ever evolving global threats and challenges our nation faces, and work to secure our communities in Iowa and across the country."
