The heroin and opioid crisis is the most pressing issue facing New Hampshire. Senator Soucy has continued fighting for bipartisan legislation that combats the opioid crisis on multiple fronts, including prevention treatment and recovery and support for our first responders who are on the front line.

In 2014 Senator Soucy was named Legislator of the Year by the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence for authoring and passing Joshua's Law, which helps the victims of domestic violence by making it easier to identify, charge, and prosecute domestic violence attackers; and for strengthening New Hampshire's human trafficking laws.
