Issues: Agriculture and Food Environment
Over the last 5 years, citizens from all sectors of the New Hampshire economy have come together to conceive of a long-term plan for food security in our state. Working with others across the region, volunteers throughout New Hampshire working with the UNH Sustainability Institute have outlined possibilities for a future where we grow and consume more of our own food. In preparation for natural disasters and the impacts of climate change, New Hampshire has the potential to keep our people safe and well-fed. Like other small businesses in the state, the future of our farms and food system need to be integrated into our vision for the future of our state.
