Issue Position

As a former early childhood educator and technical college instructor, Lisa understand the importance of high quality education at all levels. She has a long track record of advocating for quality early childhood, K-12, and higher education for all. She has advocated strongly against the privatization of our education system and has been on the front lines fighting the Governor's attempts to move public school funding into an unaccountable private voucher school program. Lisa believes that access to quality education is at the core of our state's economic success. As your State Representative, Lisa fought back against Republican funding cuts to our neighborhood schools and our university system. She will continue her work to ensure every child gets a top notch education and will continue to fight the privatization of our public schools. She is committed to making college more affordable, reducing student loan debt, and restoring funding to the University of Wisconsin so that our university will continue to be one of the best in the nation.
