Issue Position

As a former teacher, I know the struggles inside the classroom and in schools. I fought to save desegregation money that provides the majority of our youth and high-school programs within legislative district 27 and will continue supporting increased funding so our children have every opportunity to succeed

Propose & support legislation that will restore education cuts to public schools
Fight the movement of public school resources to help invest in our students and teachers
Continue working with organizations to fund scholarships for college bound students
Propose legislation that will make college more affordable and will fix the broken student debt system
Our children are our future. I believe that funding education properly and focusing on STEM and workforce development is the manner in which this issue should be tackled. Currently, we have taken a step in the right direction in education with Proposition 123. However, my concern is we haven't seen steps 4, 5, & 6 for us to have a clear picture on what is next. This would ensure that our students become great representatives of Arizona's educational system and that they are well prepared to make a positive impact in their communities and strengthen our future workforce.
