Gloria agrees with Tennessee hospitals, the Chamber of Commerce, nursing associations, doctor's associations, and 65% of all Tennesseans that enacting Governor Haslam's Insure Tennessee Plan would provide health care coverage for almost 300,000 Tennesseans who currently have no access to care. This plan will not only help veterans, women, college students, and our neighbors who don't have health care, but it will create jobs, keep our hospitals open, keep our health insurance rates lower, and add 1.4 billion dollars to our economy.

Without Insure TN, we stand to lose over 30 rural hospitals and thousands of jobs, not to mention the health and well being of thousands of Tennesseans. No one in Tennessee should lose their home because they get sick.

Gloria believes we also must take action to reduce the cost of health care by cracking down on waste, fraud and abuse. The facts are clear and the data is in, Insure TN will create 15,000 jobs, put people with health issues back to work, keep our rural hospitals open, all while not costing our state a penny. It isn't only the right choice morally, but it is the wisest choice economically.
