Ohio is in desperate need of repairing and upgrading our highways, roads, bridges and rail systems. I support legislation that focuses on improving the safety and efficiency of our transportation systems.
I support background checks on the purchase of firearms and regulations that prevent gun ownership for mentally handicapped individuals. These are the fundamentals of responsible 2nd Amendment policies.
I believe our criminal sentencing needs responsible reform to address the overcrowding of our prisons. Non-violent offenses are increasingly given longer and harsher sentences by statute. I would not support such legislation.
