Issue Position

Kentucky's worker retirement plan is one of the nation's worst-funded state pension plans. A pension shortfall would lead to disaster, and yet legislators have mishandled the pension plan for years. Fund reimbursement won't keep the plan afloat if more money leaves than goes in. But by law these pensions must be paid. We need to turn around struggling pensions. We need to make drastic changes if we hope to adequately take on our pension crisis. We cannot keep looking the other way, as this problem grows. I will work ferociously to address our pension crisis and make sure your pensions are secure, therefore securing your financial investments.
