Issue Position

The people of District 90 work hard day in and day out providing for their families. They should not have to fear losing everything over a single illness or accident. When money is so tight that even something as minor as the flu can push a family into the streets there must be other healthcare resources. Making healthcare available and affordable with programs like the Affordable Care Act and its subsidies is critical. We cannot crush families on the edge by starving Medicaid when money is ready and waiting for us to use. I'll work with hospitals like JPS where over a million patient visits a year are served. I'll fight to keep the ACA strong and to reinstate funds blocked from public health programs like Medicaid. Insuring access to affordable healthcare helps hold families together and is good for business.
