Issue Position

Our nation is the greatest fighting force on earth, and I consider myself privileged to have served in it. However, with the speed of today's ever-changing global landscape, we must make sure we don't fall behind. Our military must continue to be the most versatile as well as the best trained, best equipped, and best led armed force in the world.

When elected to Congress I will:

Fight to modernize our military so that our service members have the resources they need to meet new threats.
Promote the use of diplomacy, intelligence systems, and our economic strength to influence global affairs.
Work towards fortifying our present global alliances, while also forming new partnerships.
