Labrador Lauds Court of Appeals Blocking Obama Executive Amnesty

Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, issued the following statement after Monday's decision by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold an injunction blocking President Obama's unilateral action to confer lawful status to millions of undocumented aliens. The Court held that the President's executive actions fail to comply with the Administrative Procedures Act.

"I am encouraged by the Court's decision to prevent further implementation of President Obama's dangerous attempt to expand executive authority. The President's disregard for the law and Congressional involvement has made it impossible for Congress to work with him on immigration reform.

"I look forward to crafting solutions within the bounds of Constitutional authority and will continue to oppose any further hijacking of the legislative process."
