Nebraska has far to go in providing adequate legislation in support of the Disabled and Mentally Fragile.
It wasn't long ago that Nebraska was running one of the most dysfunctional homes for people with disabilities. This failure cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars not to mention the health and several lives of a segment of our most vulnerable citizens. Although there has been a turnaround and federal funding has been restored, there is still much to be done in Nebraska. From early identification to intervention, firming up our services in Nebraska helps in areas of education. corrections, community based programming and more.
