Over the last eight years, Bobby Jindal, along with the Republican-lead legislature and current representative of District 83, have managed to turn a $1 billion budget surplus into a $1.6 billion deficit.

These irresponsible fiscal policies have devastated our economy and nearly bankrupted our universities and health care system.

As a result, we are now forced to choose between further cutting higher education and health care, which have already suffered over $1 billion in cuts since Bobby Jindal took office, or raising taxes on citizens and businesses to fix this budget crisis.
