Jurisdiction of the Committee focuses primarily on all bills pertaining to veterans, military affairs, and armories; and bills amending the state's Military and Veterans Code. The Committee also has oversight of all programs managed by the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) and the California Military Department (CMD).
