" The CCI Action Fund is an important independent political force that speaks truth to (political) power and drives the public debate towards populist “people before profits, communities before corporations” policies and actions. We do citizen-led organizing and lobbying but paired with the new ability to “name names” during candidate elections – to say who supports our values and vision and who does not. This new Action Fund “bite” gives us more power and freedom to work for the Iowa we want to see. We can do unlimited lobbying and be more directly involved and hard hitting in candidate elections at the local, state and national level. At the heart of it, we are everyday Iowans who are willing to stand up, speak out and fight back for the Iowa we want to see – an Iowa that puts people before profits, people before politics and people before polluters and that puts our communities before corporations.
