| My number one priority is, ensuring food safety/security and reinstate MCOOL. Currently, we have four major packers in the United States that control 85% of the meat processing. Two of the four packers are foreign owned. In South Dakota, the number one industry is agricultural and for 30 years the cow/calf producer and independent feeders have been warning of this very scenario. This is by far the biggest threat facing the American people. |
