Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I'm running because Lansing is broken. It's time Michigan's legislators worked together to address Michigan's needs.

Some people want to be a representative; I want to do the work of a representative. The 86th District deserves a competent, qualified and accessible representative. If elected, the first action I would take is to begin building relationships with others in Michigan's House. I want to work with them to solve problems for the people of our state.

Working hard, serving others, and making a positive difference is some of what I am all about. That's the practical approach I took as a four-term County Commissioner. My main question was always, "Will this work? Will it solve the problem?" I didn't particularly care who suggested the idea, which, being only one of two Democrats on the commission was probably a good thing. But that's how local government works. It's much less partisan, and it's much more focused on getting the job done.

I'm Lynn Mason, and I'm running for Michigan's 86th House District. I promise to work hard to deliver practical solutions and more accountability to my district.

I need your support. I'm asking for your vote. If you are really interested, please volunteer.
