Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am running because the lessons I learned about customer service, fiscal discipline and hard work at my dad's gas station as a kid are the values we all share and the values we need in St. Paul.
I am running because we need to cut taxes and reduce government waste. We need government that is accountable and focused, one that lives within its means, just like we do.
I am running because it is too hard, too risky, and too costly to build and run small businesses in Minnesota. Taxes are too high, government interventions are too extreme and family earnings are stagnant because of it. Getting government out of the way will allow employers to create and keep jobs for our families and communities.
I am running because the schools are among the best in the nation and we need a watchdog to ensure they maintain a high standard. Successful schools result from families having choices and school districts simply refusing to let students fail. Continuing to support our high-performing schools in our area by not just throwing more money into failed educational programs but working with our leaders to bring innovation and reform Minnesota families deserve.
I am running because we need to make long-term and sustained investment in our transportation system. It must be safe and reliable for our families and businesses to move about their lives, while making sure that we receive the greatest value for every dollar invested.
I am running because I want to continue my lifetime passion for service and leave a better Minnesota for our two girls and the next generations to come.
