Priority Issues:
"I am proud to serve as the Ward II representative on the Hancock City Council. I have also served as a Medical Corpsman with the Airborne Infantry Platoon, and additional time as a medic with the 107th Engineer Battalion of the Michigan National Guard," commented Markkanen.
As an Endowment Life Member of the National Rifle Association, Markkanen states his ardent support for the 2nd Amendment.
"When elected I will defend those rights in Lansing. Not just that right but to make sure that we protect and promote the outdoors in the 110th District," commented Markkanen.
"Representing the citizens of the 110th District, many who work as teachers or as paraprofessionals, and those who have children enrolled in local schools will be a top priority as your representative," according to Markkanen
