Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Growing up in the North Country is a privilege. This is a place where families look out for each other, there are great schools, and everyone understands the value of hard work. My family, my teachers, and this community prepared me for a life of service.

After spending three decades serving our country in the Army and the Department of State, I have moved home to the place that launched me into life. Now I seek to contribute again. I know leadership--that was my purpose while in the military. This remarkable region needs strong, experienced leaders to keep pace with the rest of our state and our country. I am running for Congress to make sure that my hometown of Peru and all of the communities in New York's 21st District have the opportunity to thrive and grow.

Our Congress isn't getting its job done. Members of Congress are too concerned with their own political futures and national party politics rather than the interests of the people they represent. I aim to change that. I hope you'll join me with your support for this campaign.
