Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for Virginia Senate because we have it within our power to stop the destructive and costly effects of an overreaching government and to create a better future in which all Virginians can pursue the American dream.

We can stop higher taxes.

We can stop Medicaid expansion.

We can expand personal and economic freedom, which will lead to greater economic growth, greater take home pay, and increased job opportunities.

And finally, we can push back against the unprecedented intrusion by the federal government on our system of self-government, upon which all our liberties depend. Whether from the federal executive branch, federal judges, or bureaucrats at the EPA, the IRS, or other federal agencies, our liberties and opportunities are being negatively compromised. We must fight back against Washington, DC to protect our way of life in Virginia.

We can do all of this because in America and in Virginia, it is we the people who govern.

I believe State legislatures are the greatest bulwarks for liberty in America. They are our last line of defense.

I am running for State Senate because I believe that an engaged citizenry, together with a new generation of conservative leaders in Richmond, can limit government and expand freedom for the benefit of all Virginians.
