Priority Issues:

Dr. Bellfy is an Environmentalist, and he's been active in environmental issues for over 40 years -- at Tribal, International, National, State, and Local levels.

Phil believes that the the environment is the District's top priority, and during his campaign he will spend most of his time bringing attention to the environmental threats facing Northern Michigan --our way-of-life, our economy, and our jobs depend on a "clean-green" environment.

Among the greatest threats to our environment is the Enbridge "Line 5" pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac, fracking in the the Northern Lower Peninsula, and the Graymont limestone mining threat in the EUP. Phil has been working non-stop to eliminate these threats since they emerged. He will continue to lead this opposition as a State Rep in Lansing.

Protection of the environment; protection of our public schools; protection of seniors; protection of the middle-class. Fighting for the rights of the 99%.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I have over 40 years of experience fighting for environmental protection, and for social justice and equality for everyone. I will take this experience and motivation to Lansing and fight for the 99%. The "Corporate People" 1% don't need another vote in the State Senate, but the "Human Beings" sure do!!
