Priority Issues:

As your next Senator from the 28th District, I will fight to restore the funding for good schools, safe neighborhoods, and well-maintained roads and infrastructure we once enjoyed. Our businesses are the life-blood of our state, no question. However, we depend on business leaders not only to provide jobs, but to care about the health and well-being of our communities. Large corporations can well-afford to pay their fair share for services we all depend on to keep Michigan healthy, strong, and vibrant.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

I am running for the State Senate to fight for fair treatment for Michigan residents and businesses. The past four years of Republican control in the Michigan House, Senate, and Governor's office, our legislature has denied fair and balanced representation to our seniors, young people, and families throughout the state. Where are the new jobs we were promised? The legislature cut business taxes by over a billion dollars in the name of job creation. To supplement the revenue loss, they increased taxes on pensions and the middle class.
