Reason for Seeking Public Office:
As a political science professor, I teach "we the people, for the people" but now government is "by the rich, for the rich." Using my work in the classroom, my studies as a Fulbright Scholar, and my government experience, I'm running for Congress to change that.
We need to bring the government back to the people. Take the values of the 7th to Washington, not the other way around. I will fight for economic fairness, common sense legislation to stop gun violence and getting money out of politics. I will work for more opportunities for women and those that need a extra hand up. And you can count on me to take care of our veterans and prevent our environment from being polluted.
I have been in all five counties in the 7th many times and plan to be there many more times. I would be honored if you joined me on this journey throughout the 7th District. I am excited about our campaign and welcome you to take a look at the website to learn more about me and volunteer and donate.
