Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I am running for Congress because I believe that significant federal change can be driven by regions like ours taking the lead. We need to reinvest in housing as public infrastructure. We need to restore the federal government's role in our safety net. We need urgent action on climate and leadership to hold our country to the Paris commitments. We need to work toward an economic system that shares prosperity, and keeps our middle class strong and within reach.
