Favorite Quote:

"The great question … is shall we make peace with nature and begin to make reparations for the damage we have done to our air, our land and our water? … Clean air, clean water, open spaces -- these should once again be the birthright of every American. … The price tag is high. Through our years of past carelessness, we have incurred a debt to nature. Now that debt is being called."

Paul Wellstone: "Politics is not about power. Politics is not about money. Politics is not about winning for the sake of winning. Politics is about the improvement of people's lives."

Priority Issues:

I will fight for a balanced budget plan that closes corporate tax loopholes while protecting Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. I will work to protect women's rights and to ensure that women's concerns are no longer second-class issues in Congress. I will also fight to increase transparency on Capitol Hill and to stop special interests from buying politicians and votes at the expense of the middle class.
