Why I'm Running --
A fair assessment of what I did in my first Congressional campaign, and what I'm still doing in my second, can be appropriately described as getting up-close and personal. More importantly, I pledge that when I'm in Congress, I will continue to be up-close and personal for those in California's 42nd District. It is something that the current member of Congress has never done.
When I'm not in Washington, I'll be home talking with and listening to the people, attending community events, walking in parades, and always shaking hands. I will be up-close and personal. The people deserve a representative with whom they can talk and who will listen. It is what I'll do -- and it is why I'm running.
When I'm in Washington, I'll work on behalf of those same people -- I'll be the people's representative. I will not serve the millionaires or the billionaires, or the banks, or the insurance companies, or the special interests groups. It will all be about what's best for the people -- individually. It's just that simple.
I'm running for Congress because the institution does not work well - and I believe that those serving in Congress do not relate to everyday Americans. It's time to elect someone to the House of Representatives who puts people first - I am that candidate.
