Reason for Seeking Public Office:

For far too long, our nation's capital has been overrun with career politicians who would rather raise money than do the people's work. I made the decision to be a candidate for the United States Senate because I saw just how damaging this brand of politics can be.

Unlike many in Congress, I feel my background provides me with the independence voters are looking for from their elected officials. I'm not beholden to corporate or Wall Street money, and I know what it's like to make ends meet in today's struggling economy.

My goal is simple: To strengthen, support and advocate on behalf of Kentucky's families, the working class, our LGBT community and our environment.
I believe in a healthy community that is well informed about the real challenges we face today and in the future.
We have to be honest about two party system and how it ignores the needs of the middleclass, working class, the poor and our precious natural resources.

Here in Kentucky we have both the Republican and Democratic Party leadership refusing to accept climate change, the damages of Coal and the fundamental right that everyone should be able love and marry who they desire.

Our prosperity has been stifled by the greed and inactivity of bought and paid for politicians.

I say the fight for the progressive movement is right here in Kentucky at the nucleus of what is wrong with our political system. Mitch McConnell owns "Citizens United" and he believes that Corporations are people and that they should be able to influence our political policies and the outcome of our elections.

And that's why I'm running. We have to have courageous leadership that speaks the truth and will not be bought by the as "Gatewood Galbraith" said, " petrochemical pharmaceutical military-industrial trans-national fascist corporate elite son-of-a-bitches"!
I add to that; the corporate unfair and biased media.
