Authorizes certified teachers to serve as long-term substitute teachers for no more than 165 consecutive days of a school term year (Sec. 1).
Defines “long-term substitute teacher” for the purposes of this bill as a teacher who is employed in the state to substitute teach for more than 20 consecutive days of a school term (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 3).
