Vote to pass a bill that authorizes additional protections for service workers during change of ownership in the state of Delware.

Highlights:

• Establishes employment protections for certain service employees during changes of ownership

• Defines terms related to employee protection (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that awarding authorities must comply with this act when doing the following (Sec. 1): 

• Terminating a service contract; 

• Contracting out services; and 

• Selling or transferring property.

• Specifies that awarding authorities must compile a list of all employees to the successor company (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that a written notice be provided to employees about the new successor company and employee’s rights (Sec. 1).
