Title: Amends Crime Definition of Interfering with Public Transportation
Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that amends crime interfering with public transportation with the intent of combating the addiction crisis in the state of Oregon.
Amends the crime of interfering with public transportation to include the use of an unlawfully possessed controlled substance while in or on a public transit vehicle with a maximum of 364 days' imprisonment, a $6,250 fine, or both (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the new manner of committing interfering with public transportation is a designated drug-related misdemeanor for purposes of supervision duty and funding (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
