Title: Authorizes State and Public University Employees to Resume Travel to Previously Restricted States
Vote to concur with house amendment and pass a bill that authorizes state and public university employees to resume travel to 26 mostly Republican-led states and creates a donation-funded marketing campaign to promote inclusiveness for the LGBTQ community.
Authorizes GO-Biz to establish the Building and Reinforcing Inclusive, Diverse, Gender-Supportive Equity Project (BRIDGE Project) to promote social equity, civil rights, and antidiscrimination through marketing and advertising campaigns (Sec. 2).
Establishes the BRIDGE Project Fund and would make the money available to the office upon appropriation by the Legislature for the purpose of implementing the project (Sec. 2).
Authorizes the office to contract with a private, nonprofit agency, as specified, and to use the services of volunteer advertising agencies and donated media to conduct marketing activities (Sec. 2).
Requires the office to convene an advisory committee of no more than 10 members (Sec. 2).
Authorizes the creation of media campaigns for the purpose promoting LGBT equality in states that have enacted anti-LGBT laws (Sec. 2).
Repeals provisions prohibiting a state agency and the Legislature from requiring travel to specified states (Sec. 4).
