Title: Establishes the New York Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission
Vote to pass a bill that establishes the 15 member New York Asian American and Pacific Islander commission to develop policies to improve the community, economic and social well-being, and the health and educational needs important to Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the state.
Establishes the Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission and determines membership (Sec. 1).
Specifies length of membership (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the commission to determine programming and policies to help support the Asian American community in NY (Sec. 1).
Authorizes education policies for NY State Regarding Asian American Contributions (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the commission shall serve without compensation (Sec. 1).
Requires the commission to send out a report about its activities to the state legislature (Sec. 1).
