Vote to pass a bill that establishes a state program to pay undocumented workers unemployment benefits.

Highlights:

• Establishes the “Excluded Workers Program” to provide income assistance to excluded workers who are ineligible for existing state or federal benefits administered by the department (Sec. 1). 

• Authorizes that excluded individuals are eligible for $300 per week each week of unemployment to excluded workers (Sec. 1). 

• Requires the department to establish regulations to implement the program (Sec. 1). 

• Prohibits the department from requesting certain information from individuals in connection with the administration of the program and from requesting certain documents for more time than is absolutely necessary or personal information (Sec. 1).
