Vote to amend and pass a bill that requires local government review of state environmental policies.

Highlights:

• Defines the term “disapprove the housing development project” and sets out terms for why a project would be denied an application  (Sec. 2). 

• Requires a housing development project subject to these provisions to be located on a legal parcel or parcels within an urbanized area and to meet one or more of specified criteria, and to meet or exceed 15 dwelling units per acre (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that a local agency's determination on if a housing development meets standards will be seen as final (Sec. 2). 

• Specifies that this bill does not provide for a reimbursement (Sec. 2).
