Title: Amends Prohibitions on the Legal Ways Dogs May be Restrained
Vote to pass a bill that amends prohibitions on the legal ways a dog may be restrained.
Prohibits individuals from restraining a dog using certain tethers, chains, ties, trolleys or pulley system or other device using a prong, pinch or choke collar for more than 10 consecutive hours during a 24 hour period (Sec. 1).
Requires that the 10 consecutive hours of restraint limit apply to all dog owners, as well as all shelters, boarding, training, or breeding facility housing multiple dogs unless the dog is first being processed into the facility (Sec. 1).
Specifies the aforementioned provisions shall apply immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
