Title: Repeals Loophole which Excluded Certain Renters from Hazard Protections
Vote to pass a bill that repeals loophole which excluded certain renters from hazard protections.
Requires that the Department of Health report to the legislature annually on the number of children who are lead poisoned in any of the exempted dwelling which includes areas in condominium complexes owned and operated by condominium associations and pre-1978 rental dwelling units that are (Sec. 1):
Lead-safe or lead-free;
Temporary housing; and
Elderly housing.
Requires that nothing in this act be taken in a way that prevents an owner seeking to obtain lead liability insurance coverage in the policy from complying with the provisions of this chapter, by securing and maintaining a vail and in force letter of compliance or conformance in force (Sec. 1).
