Title: Prohibits Certain Actions By Pharmacy Benefits Managers
Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that prohibits pharmacy benefits managers from taking certain actions.
Prohibits actions by pharmacy benefit managers that spread false information or grant a personal benefit (Sec. 1).
Specifies that an individual cannot be restricted when choosing an in network pharmacy (Sec. 1).
Authorizes more discretion in regards to patient privacy and pharmaceutical records (Sec. 3).
Requires pharmacies and their pharmacy benefits managers to have a set process through which they can resolve disputes (Sec. 1).
Amends the process for when a maximum allowable cost appeal is denied (Sec. 2).
Appropriates $100,000 for these processes until June 2025 (Sec. 3).
Appropriates further $125,000 for a permanent position to implement this bill (Sec. 3).
